Tommy Polanco


Tommy Polanco is a sophomore at Columbia College that is studying physics and applied mathematics. With the aim of building a more sustainable future, his primary interest lies in the development and improvement of clean and efficient forms of energy. He joined the research group in the summer of 2017 and is working on upgrading a set of damaged coils. His current tasks include:

  • Designing and building a small-scale version of the intended coil upgrade as a test.
  • Designing and 3D printing a circular mold that will contain each coil for epoxy coating.
